Personal: Coury began snowboarding when she was 13. In December 2003, she fell and broke her right ankle while snowboarding. She continued to have problems with the ankle, and in 2006 had surgery to remove bone spurs. She underwent multiple operations in the following five years until she chose to have her leg amputated below the knee in June 2011. ...Daughter of Jim and Candi Coury...Has two siblings, James and Tiffani...Hobbies include snowboarding, wake surfing, hiking, mountain biking and cheering on her nieces and nephews at their sporting events...Works as a nurse and an EMT...Was home schooled until high school.
