Personal: Hart got involved with the Paralympic movement in 1998 at a regional competition in Atlanta, Georgia. It was at that competition that she decided she wanted to aim for international competition. She purchased her first horse and began to train for national and international competition. Hart was born with a rare genetic disease called hereditary spastic paraplegia, a progressive impairment that causes muscle wasting and paralysis from the middle of the back down....Daughter of Sue Dobson and Terry Hart… Has one sister, Katie, and one brother, Jordan…Enjoys kayaking, sailing, camping and rock climbing…Works with the Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia Foundation to work toward bringing awareness about HSP..Also works with the children dealing with HSP.
