Rio 2016 Olympic Games

The deadline to request media accreditation for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games has expired. Late requests will not be considered for the first allocation and will be placed on a waiting list for later consideration.

To submit a late request, please contact Peggy Manter (Peggy.Manter@usoc.org). All requesting organizations must be based in the United States and meet the guideline standards included on the registration site.

The United States Olympic Committee received a limited number of accreditations from the International Olympic Committee for allocation to U.S. media outlets. The USOC and a committee composed of Associated Press sports editors, along with representatives of magazines, newspapers, websites and photographers will meet in early 2015 to determine allocations.
Requesting organizations will be notified of the results in March 2015.

Non-Rights Holding Broadcasters:
All non-rights holding broadcasters will be accredited directly by the International Olympic Committee. The form will be available at Olympic.org/Accred2016 beginning Feb. 5, 2015, and the deadline is April 1, 2015.

If you have any questions, please contact Peggy Manter (Peggy.Manter@usoc.org).
