LIFE AFTER SPORT
Athletes retiring or considering retiring from sport often feel a grand sense of loss, of identity, community, support, camaraderie, personal validation, direction, and purpose. The Pivot Program works to assist Team USA athletes in exploring values, reframing identity, understanding transitions and the emotions that come with change, and rediscovering self and purpose through meaningful discussions. Throughout the calendar year, the Athlete Services and Psychological Services team will host both virtual and in-person Pivot programs. Specific details about each program will be announced on the website and in the Athletes Services
If you are exploring life beyond competitive sport and are not sure where to start post-retirement, our career coaches are available and understand the challenges you will face.
