The 2022 Season Ends with the Final Day of Nationals in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA – After three intense days of competition, the final day of the 2022 U.S. Paralympics Swimming National Championships presented by Toyota saw the last races of the season with champions crowned in the 100-meter freestyle, 200m IM and 200m freestyle races. More than 85 athletes from across the U.S. came to the Mecklenburg Aquatic Center to vie for a spot on the podium.

 

In her first U.S. Paralympics Swimming National Championship event, Olivia Chambers took home the coveted Swimmer of the Meet award after impressive swims in five finals across the weekend. All races are mixed class, and results based on the World Para Swimming points system to create an equitable field of play among the different classes. 

 

The 2023 Para swimming season will commence in February of next year with the start of world series circuit with events in Great Britain and Australia. For full results from the 2022 U.S. Paralympics Swimming National Championships, click here.
