Two American Records Broken on Second Day of Championships

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA – The second day of the U.S. Paralympics Swimming National Championships presented by Toyota brought champions across the 50-meter and 100-meter races. Two swimmers, Christie Raleigh-Crossley and Jeff Lovett also secured American records in the women’s 100m backstroke (1:08.74) and men’s 100m breaststroke (1:15.04) respectively.

 

The last day of competition will resume on Sunday, Dec. 18 with preliminary sessions starting at 9 a.m. ET and finals starting at 5 p.m. ET. All races are mixed class, and results based on the World Para Swimming points system to create an equitable field of play among the different classes.   The event is being streamed live on the U.S. Paralympics Swimming website and Facebook page.
