Aaron Pike looks to continue his international success at the World Para Nordic Championships in March.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee today announced the athletes who will represent Team USA at the 2020 World Para Nordic Skiing Championships. The event is set for March 12-15 in Ostersund, Sweden, and will feature three days of biathlon competition.

Headlining the U.S. roster is eight-time Paralympic medalist Oksana Masters (Louisville, Kentucky). Masters will look to continue her world championships success after a dominant 2019 edition that saw her race to world titles in the women’s sitting class of the middle-distance biathlon, middle-distance cross-country, cross-country sprint, biathlon sprint and long-distance cross-country, and additionally pick up a silver medal in individual biathlon.

On the men’s side, six-time Paralympic medalist Dan Cnossen (Topeka, Kansas) and four-time Paralympian Aaron Pike (Park Rapids, Minnesota) will take to the snow for the 2020 world championships. Cnossen claimed a pair of silver medals last year in the men’s sitting class of the middle-distance cross-country and cross-country sprint races, while Pike raced to the first world championships medal of his career with bronze in the biathlon sprint of the men’s sitting class.

Teammate and two-time Paralympic champion Kendall Gretsch (Downers Grove, Illinois) qualified for the Nordic skiing world championships but will be participating in the PATCO Paratriathlon Pan American Championships and the Sarasota-Bradenton ITU Paratriathlon World Cup as she looks to earn points towards qualifying for the Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020.

The 2020 world championships kicks off March 12 with individual biathlon, followed by sprint biathlon and middle-distance biathlon on March 14 and March 15.

U.S. athletes have competed in the first three stops of the 2019-20 world cup circuit, with Masters and Cnossen winning 13 and four medals, respectively. Following the world championships, Team USA will close out the world cup circuit with its final leg held March 17-22 in Ostersund, Sweden.
