13 U.S. wrestlers win titles, and 31 claim medals in boys freestyle at the youth-level Tallinn Open in Estonia

TALLINN, Estonia – Thirteen U.S. wrestlers won gold medals, and a total of 31 Americans claimed a medal during the boys freestyle portion of the Tallinn Open on Friday. This youth wrestling competition is one of the largest and most prestigious in Europe and around the world.

The following athletes from the United States won gold medals
• Caleb Meunier, 65 kg Junior Freestyle (2002-2004)
• Jadon Skellenger, 70 kg Junior Freestyle (2002-2004)
• Nikos Filipos, 45 kg Cadet Freestyle (2005-2006)
• Cooper Hilton, 51 kg Cadet Freestyle (2005-2006)
• Luke Lilledahl, 55 kg Cadet Freestyle (2005-2006)
• Hudson Chittum, 38 kg U15 Freestyle (2007-2008)
• Eric Casula, 44 kg U15 Freestyle (2007-2008)
• Declan Koch, 52 kg U15 Freestyle (2007-2008)
• Trevor Jones, 62 kg U15 Freestyle (2007-2008)
• Will Webb, 32 kg Youth Freestyle (Born 2009-2010)
• Carter Smith, 35 kg Youth Freestyle (Born 2009-2010)
• Jace Rooney, 29 kg Youth Freestyle (Born 2011 and younger)
• Evan Restivo, 35 kg Youth Freestyle (Born 2011 and younger)

The athletes competing this weekend are not with a USA Wrestling national team but have entered the competition through their club programs.

The Tallinn Open competition continues in Greco-Roman on Saturday, March 25. Most of the boys who wrestled freestyle are also in the Greco-Roman tournament. Women’s freestyle will be held on Sunday, March 26. Tallinn is six hours ahead of U.S. Eastern time zone
