Register now for USA Wrestling’s National Club Duals in Wisconsin Dells, October 16-17

USA Wrestling’s folkstyle season ramps up in October with a return of the Tour of America National Club Duals, in Wisconsin Dells, Wis., October 16-17.

The National Club Duals will feature club teams of high school boys, as well as club teams of middle school boys. In the boys high school division, the event will be limited to the first 32 teams. The boys middle school division will be limited to the first 24 teams.

Teams must register in accordance with the Club Duals Team Packet.

Teams will be guaranteed between 6-7 dual meets during the event. Team trophies will go to the top three teams in each division, with medals awarded to each member of the first-place team.

All teams must follow the procedures in the National Club Duals Team Packet.

This is a GRADE tournament based of the grade they are in during the 2021– 22 school year. There are maximum ages a wrestler can be in each grade division. If a wrestler is too old for a grade division, he MUST move up to the next grade division.

There are 10 weight classes contested in each dual meet. The weight classes are as follows:

Middle School Division:
• Wrestlers in 6th grade-8th grade
o Boys Weight Classes: 80, 85, 91, 97, 105, 115, 126, 139, 157, 187

High School Division:
• Wrestlers in 9th grade- 12th grade
o Boys Weight Classes: 100, 108 116, 125, 135, 145, 157, 171, 189, 220

Format:
• Folkstyle.
• 2 Day tournament
• Saturday, October 16th: Preliminary pool competition
• Sunday, October 17th: Championship brackets/pools.
• Pool/ Brackets are subject to change based on final number of teams

Awards:
• Team trophies for Top 3 teams in each Division.
• Medals for all members of 1st place and 2nd place team.

Admission:
• Adult (18 and older): $15 per day / $20 weekend
• Student (6 –17): $5 per day / $10 weekend
• 5 and under free

All athletes and coaches must have current USA Wrestling membership and all competing clubs must be USA Wrestling chartered. Team members must be affiliated with their competing USA Wrestling clubs. National Federation High School Rules are in effect, with USA Wrestling modification. Periods are 1.5 minutes long for all three periods and guaranteed 7- 8 dual matches

The Tour of America National Club Duals was created in 2020 as part of the growing USA Wrestling Folkstyle Tour of America series, which features high-quality youth Folkstyle competitions wrestlers of many ages, held in strategic locations across the United States.

This year, USA Wrestling kicks off the 2021-2022 Season at the Woodside Dome in Wisconsin Dells, Wis. This is the exact same venue as the successful Folkstyle Tour of America Dominate in the Dells event, one of the top youth Folkstyle events on the calendar each season, as well as the USA Wrestling Kids Freestyle and Greco-Roman National Championships, the youth national event which concludes USA Wrestling’s Kids Triple Crown Series.

These events will be conducted following the requirements of the state and local health authorities, as well as using the safety provisions of the USA Wrestling Return to Events Guidelines. USA Wrestling and the local organizers will monitor data and local trends closely leading up to the event.
