Junior women’s freestyle
USA closed out the Junior women’s freestyle strong winning the two gold medals that were up for grabs as Katerina Lange (65 kg) and Lillian Freitas (72 kg) went undefeated on the day.

The squad claimed the team title with five champions and 176 points. Finishing second was Mexico with 147 points and Cuba rounded out the top-three with 101 points.

Junior men’s freestyle
The Junior Pan Am Championships serves as a qualifier for the Junior Pan American Games at only the Olympic weights. The top-eight in each of the six Olympic weights per style will earn bids to the Junior Pan Am Games in Cali, Colombia, in December.

The U.S. Junior men’s freestyle team qualified three Olympic weights today (57, 65, 74 kg) and has the chance to qualify three more on Sunday. USA scored two gold medals from Ryan Miller (57 kg) and Cade Devos (74 kg) to qualify as well as a bronze from Chance Lamer (65 kg).

Carter Young won a gold medal at a non-Olympic weight today, going 3-0 at 61 kg with two tech falls and one pin.
