The pack behind top-ranked Iowa and No. 2 Penn State has turned into college wrestling's version of musical chairs with the top-10 occupants changing seats each week inside the Trackwrestling Division I Rankings presented by Resilite.

In this week's edition, Minnesota slid past Arizona to grab the No. 4 spot, Wisconsin moved up a notch and into a tie for fifth, Nebraska climbed two spots to No. 8 and Oklahoma State is up to No. 10.

Iowa continues to hold a big lead over the rest of the field. The Hawkeyes are ranked seventh or better at all 10 weights now and, as a team, they check in this week with 139.5 projected NCAA advancement and placement points. Penn State is second with 83.5, followed by Ohio State (60), Minnesota (55), Arizona State (51), Wisconsin (51), Northwestern (47), Nebraska (42), Purdue (39.5), Oklahoma State (38.5) and Princeton (38.5).

The Trackwrestling team rankings are based strictly on the number of advancement and placement points each squad would accumulate if its wrestlers finished in those ranking slots at the NCAA Championships. Top-ranked wrestlers earn 20 points, followed by 16 for second, 13.5 for third, 12.5 for fourth, 10 for fifth, 9 for sixth, 6.5 for seventh, 5.5 for eighth, 2 for spots 9-12, 1.5 for spots 13-16 and 1 for 17-25. Team dual outcomes are not factored into the team rankings.

The Trackwrestling rankings go out to 33, representing the number of wrestlers who will qualify for the NCAA Championships at each weight class.

The rankings are coordinated by David Mirikitani and Mark Ostrander.
