Four-time World champion Adeline Gray will look to earn her seventh world medal at the 2019 World Championships.

NUR-SULTAN, Kazakhstan – The second group of four U.S. women’s freestyle wrestlers have received their draws for the World Wrestling Championships, and will start their competition on Wednesday.

Four-time World champion, six-time World medalist and 2016 Olympian Adeline Gray (Denver, Colo./New York AC) at 76 kg starts her tournament off with Eleni Pjollaj of Italy. Pjollai placed fifth at the 2019 Junior World Championships.

Also in her side of the bracket is 2014 69 kg World champion Aline Rotter Focken of Germany. However, the pair would not meet until the semifinals.

Two-time World silver medalist Alli Ragan, Iowa City, Iowa (Sunkist Kids/Hawkeye WC) will square off with Ukrainian Anzhelina Lysak, a 2015 Junior World silver medalist. Lysak took fifth at the 2019 European Championships.

Should Ragan win, she will see 2016 World bronze medalist Linda Morais of Canada. Morais, the No. 2 seed, is the 2019 City of Sassari tournament champion.

Competing in her third Senior Worlds will be Jenna Burkert, Colorado Springs, Colo. (U.S. Army WCAP). In her opening round she will face the Lenka Hockova Martinakova of Czechia. This is Martinakova’s 11th Senior World Championship. She has yet to earn a medal.

Top-seeded 2018 World champion Ningning Rong of China is on Burkert’s side of the bracket, and the pair could potentially meet in the quarterfinals.

Making her second Senior World Championships appearance, Forrest Molinari, Iowa City, Iowa (Titan Mercury WC/Hawkeye WC) will open with Thi Vinh Nguyen of Vietnam. Nguyen finished seventh at the 2019 Asian Championships.

If she wins, Molinari could face two-time World bronze medalist Malin Mattsson of Sweden in the quarterfinals.
