Robby Smith and James Green will each lead a free clinic in their hometowns in California and New Jersey, respectively.

USA Wrestling and the United States Marine Corps are proud to announce a new clinic series designed to bring wrestling superstars back to the communities they hail from.

The USA Wrestling Hometown Hero Clinic Series presented by the USMC, will feature these star athletes return to their hometowns of Danville, California Oct. 19 and Willingboro, New Jersey Nov. 9 to host wrestling clinics at local schools and community centers.

"Giving back to local communities is a core principle of the United States Marine Corps as we develop quality citizens," said Capt. Andrew Herbert, a community engagement officer with the Marine Corps Recruiting Command. "We’re thrilled to have this opportunity to partner with USA Wrestling to bring these athletes back to the areas that recognized their potential, supported their development, and helped push them to ultimately become the world-class athletes and role models they are today.”

The Elite Athlete Appearance Program, funded by the Levitetz Family Foundation, is also a supporting partner in the event series. The mission of the Elite Athlete Appearance Program is to support athletes in their efforts to give back to local wrestling communities and inspire young athletes to become champions on and off the mat.

The series will initially feature two events over the next four weeks:
