The USA Wrestling for Peace (USAW4P) program is designed to promote wrestling as a positive force in local, national, and global communities.

The sport of wrestling can cultivate, through wrestling diplomacy, stronger international ties and relationships to advance the future of wrestling as an Olympic sport and to unite people worldwide. USAW4P promotes the positive values of the sport, develops positive public relations, and camaraderie.

As fans of the sport, we know of the incredible attributes it instills in wrestlers: discipline, humility, and grit are just a few. That said, this program strives to promote participation in our incredible sport… all across the globe.

Later this summer, USAW4P will be traveling to Livingston, Guatemala to contribute to the start of a youth wrestling program.

Like our past efforts in Puerto Rico, we have been collecting gear to bring and share with these prospective wrestlers. A wrestling mat, singlets, wrestling shoes, and other various apparel will allow these kids to start learning with the proper equipment and gear.

USAW4P Ambassador Joe Butler of Wrestle in my Shoes, two-time World Medalist Nick Gwiazdowski, Dollamur and several other generous supporters made this initiative possible.

Recently, USA Wrestling’s Development department had a collection site in Fargo, N.D. during the U.S. Marine Corps Junior and 16U National Championships.

Wrestlers and families were eager to learn about this initiative, with some donating on the spot and others willing to mail their gear to us. As the USA Wrestling for Peace program advances in the world of wrestling, we will continue to lend a helping hand and grow the world’s oldest and greatest sport.

If you are interested in donating to USAW4P, please send your gear to:
