Finals set in Western Junior Regional in freestyle

Las Vegas, Nev. – The Junior freestyle Western Regional finals are set after an action-packed day of wrestling at South Point Arena in Las Vegas.

Finals will be at 10:30 a.m. (PT). Live stream is available on

Dominating his way to the finals is Western Regional Greco-Roman champion Tariq Hornbuckle. Hornbuckle won the Greco-Roman tournament earlier in the week and is looking to secure a second title as a double champion.

The 106-pound weight class crowned a winner after a round robin victory. Parker Avendano of Oklahoma beat Christian Her of California by tech fall for the win.

Finalists represent 12 states, plus Canada.
