NCAA champion Anthony Robles to be inducted into Arizona Sports Hall of Fame

TEMPE, Ariz. – Anthony Robles, a 2011 NCAA wrestling champion and graduate of Arizona State, will be inducted into the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame, as announced on Tuesday.
 
Hall of Fame candidates are individuals who have “merited recognition and distinction in sports and who have brought fame and honor to the State of Arizona through outstanding sporting accomplishments or contributions”. According to the AZHOF website, candidates are eligible through one (or more) of three criteria: an Arizona native, immediately recognized as an Arizonian, and have made at least two significant contributions to the athletic community in the State of Arizona.
 
The three-time All-American and four-time NCAA qualifier at 125 lbs. also finished his ASU career ranked eighth in wins (122) and 10th in dual wins (53), setting ASU career records for bonus-point victories (92) and technical falls (47).
