Two U.S. wrestlers were ranked in United World Wrestling’s Greco-Roman World rankings for August, the final ranking prior to the 2017 Senior World Championships in Paris, France.

Ranked No. 16 at 98 kg/215 lbs. is G’Angelo Hancock (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sunkist Kids/OTC), holding the same World ranking as he held in July. Hancock will compete in the 2017 Senior World Championships in Paris. He recently competed at the Junior World Championships in Finland, where he placed seventh.

Coming in at No. 18 at 75 kg/165 lbs. is Kamal Bey (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sunkist Kids/OTC), who was not ranked last month. Bey won a gold medal at the recent Junior World Championships in Finland, the first U.S. wrestler to win a Junior Greco-Roman title since Garrett Lowney in 1999. Bey was second in the 2017 Greco-Roman Senior World Team Trials.

Three U.S. Greco-Roman wrestlers, including two U.S. World Team members, who held World Greco-Roman rankings in July were not ranked in August. They included World Team members Patrick Smith (Minneapolis, Minn./Minnesota Storm) at 71 kg/156 lbs. and Ben Provisor (Stevens Point, Wis./New York AC) at 85 kg/187.5 lbs. Also falling out of the rankings was Geordan Speiller (Oviedo, Fla./Florida Jets) at 80 kg/176 lbs.
