Colton Joseph Schneider of Edmond, Okla., 15, was tragically killed this past Friday, October 16th, in an ATV accident.
He was a freshman at Edmond North High School in Oklahoma, where he was slotted to be the Varsity 106-pounder on the wrestling team.
His dad, Andy Schneider, is the head wrestling coach for the Huskies at Edmond North.
Colton has been a wrestler for 10 years and was a member of the Oklahoma Wrestling Academy, in Edmond.
Colton had been a Team Oklahoma Schoolboy member, and had traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana during the summers of 2013 and 2014.
He was a member of the Oklahoma Cadet Freestyle/Greco Team this past summer that traveled to York, Pennsylvania to wrestle, where he competed at 100 lbs. in both styles for Team Oklahoma. It was a very special summer for Colton and his father, Andy, who was the head freestyle coach of Team Oklahoma. Team Oklahoma finished 7th in Freestyle.
Colton will be greatly missed by his family, friends, team members, and the wrestling community as well. Colton, you will always be remembered, never forgotten!
Funeral services will be this Thursday, October 22nd at 2:00 p.m. at Life Church in Edmond, Oklahoma.
