Frank Molinaro named Wrestler of the Week

Frank Molinaro (New Brunswick, N.J./Scarlet Knight WC) has been named Wrestler of the Week.

Each week, will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level.

Molinaro was named Outstanding Wrestler after winning a New York AC International title in freestyle wrestling on Saturday in New York City. 

Molinaro defeated Alibeggediz Emeev of Russia 9-4 in the finals at 66 kg/145.5 lbs.

Molinaro, an NCAA champion for Penn State, is a coach at Rutgers and is starting his Senior freestyle career. 

Molinaro was one of five American champions crowned in freestyle in the event.
