Why should a JCC Implement a Weightlifting and Sports Performance Program?

How can a JCC implement a Weightlifting and Sports Performance Programs?

Program can be changed or adapted to fit your center. Contact us at USA Weightlifting for a customized option.

  • Sports Performance - Kids – 6-week program (ages 9-13)

    Sports Performance – Juniors - 6-week program (ages 13-17)

    Sports Performance and Fitness - Adults – 6- week program (18+)

    • Curriculums are provided by USA Weightlifting as well as training for your instructors. Each JCC can implement on their own or work with USA Weightlifting to start a program.

     

  • Weekend Clinics - $50/person
    • Clinics are easy to set up and market to your membership
    • Registration page will be set up through USA Weightlifting and can be linked through your website
    • USA Weightlifting will provide an instructor to teach the clinic
    • USA Weightlifting will provide marketing materials to your center
    • Registration fees will be collected and distributed to host JCC after the close of the event and after instructor fees are subtracted
    • Clinics will run for 6 hours and cover an introduction to weightlifting

     

  • Weightlifting Teams
    • Creating a weightlifting team is easy all you need is equipment, space, and a coach
    • USA Weightlifting can certify your staff to coach a team and provide an updated list of events for your team to compete in
    • All JCC teams will be eligible to compete at national events with USA Weightlifting membership
    • JCC members will receive a 30% discount on USA Weightlifting memberships
    • JCC members will receive a 10% discount on coaching education courses

Age Range

  • Sports Performance - Kids – 6-week program (ages 9-13)
  • Sports Performance – Juniors - 6-week program (ages 13-17)
  • Sports Performance and Fitness - Adults – 6- week program (18+)
  • Weekend Clinics (16+)
  • Weightlifting Teams (9+)

Staff Commitments

USA Weightlifting can certify your staff or provide volunteers to lead 6-week programs. The sport can be introduced at any time and can be adjusted in 2-week increments 

Equipment Needed for Weightlifting and Sports Performance

Start-up Kit – $50

  • (3) 6-week curriculums
  • (1) USA Weightlifting technical and competition rule book
  • (1) Field of play diagram
  • (1) Warm up room diagram
  • (10) PVC pipes for instruction

Equipment

  • Per 3 participants
    • (1) 35lb-45lb barbell
    • (1) set of bumper plates 10lb-45lb
    • (1) 10x10 area of rubber flooring or plywood
    • (1) squat rack

Recognition

USA Weightlifting will provide certificates of recognition to all participants who complete any of the 6-week programs. Each JCC will provide USA Weightlifting with a list of names and addresses to mail out certificates OR one mailing address to send completed certificates.
