When did you begin lifting? 2012

What motivated you to try out the sport?  I was a gymnast at Sacramento State and used both snatch and clean & jerks as way to get stronger for Gymnastics. My strength & conditioning coach (and current weightlifting coach), Tom DiStasio asked if I'd be interested in trying a weightlifting competition once I finished up my eligibility for gymnastics. I said yes – then afterwards fell in love with the sport :)

What is your most memorable weightlifting moment? My most memorable weightlifting moment was competing at the 2016 Olympic Trials.

Do you have any pre-competition rituals? I don't think so; I can't really think of anything at the moment.

What's your favorite post-competition meal?  Really just anything salty – hamburger & fries, pizza, chips and maybe also some mint chip ice cream after that :)

Are there any weightlifters in particular that you look up to? Jenny Arthur

What is one thing that weightlifting has taught you? Humility

Outside of weightlifting, how do you like to spend your time? I like to relax and explore things around Sacramento.
