COMPETITION OPPORTUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT
USA Weightlifting has been invited to participate in the 17th International Tournament of France "Denis Randon", November 16, 2019 in Clermont l’Hérault, FRA. The event is approved by the IWF as an Olympic Qualification Event in the Bronze Category.
Tokyo 2020 - BRONZE Qualifying Event
Weight Categories
Men: 67kg, 73kg, 96kg, 109kg
Women: 55kg, 64kg, 76kg, 87kg
Athletes wishing to participate must understand this is a self-funded opportunity. Athletes will be responsible for all costs, including entry fee of €100 (~$115 USD), Anti-Doping fee ($25 USD), airfare, lodging & food (€130 [~$146 USD/night]) single room / (€110 [~$123 USD/night]) double room). The Organizing Committee will provide transportation between Montpellier Mediterranee International Airport and the meet hotel.
Please note athletes must meet all requirements expressed in the USA Weightlifting Selection Procedures, with particular attention paid to the USADA Lift Clean RTP requirement and minimum performance requirements needed to represent the USA on the international stage.

Per the 2018-2020 ROBI Selection Procedures, those athletes in each contested weight category with the highest ROBI score will be given the opportunity to attend, using totals achieved at National or International Competition in the previous six months to the final qualification event. Eligible events include:

USA Weightlifting has been invited to participate in the 2019 Phillips & Springer Classic, November 30, 2019 in Christ Church, Barbados. The event IS *NOT* A TOKYO 2020 QUALIFYING EVENT.
Weight Categories (Youth, Junior, Senior, Masters)
Men: 61kg, 67kg, 73kg, 81kg, 96kg, 109kg, +109kg
Women: 49kg, 55kg, 59kg, 64kg, 76kg, 87kg, +87kg
Athletes wishing to participate must understand this is a self-funded opportunity. Athletes will be responsible for all costs, including entry fee ($15 U.S. Dollars), airfare and lodging and food. The organizing committee will not be arranging accommodation, so prices will vary, but expect to pay approximately $100/night. Transportation to and from the airport will be provided by the organizing committee.
To eliminate any doubt, this event IS *NOT* A TOKYO 2020 QUALIFYING EVENT.
