Olympic Qualification Competition Opportunity in Thailand

Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Centre will serve as the competition and training venue for the 2019 EGAT's Cup.


Thai Amateur Weightlifting Association (TAWA) has invited American athletes to participate in the 2019 EGAT's Cup February 9-11, 2019 at Chiang Mai province, Thailand.

The event serves as a Silver qualification event for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The deadline to apply is 4PM Mountain time on November 15, 2018.

NOTE: This is a self-funded opportunity. Meaning, interested athletes will be responsible for ALL costs incurred including, but not limited to, airfare, hotel accommodations, entry fees, etc. 

Bodyweight categories to be contested:
Men: 61kg, 67kg, 73kg, 81kg, 96kg, 109kg, +109kg 
Women: 49kg, 55kg, 59kg, 64kg, 76kg, 87kg, +87kg

FINANCIAL CONDITIONS
-Participation fee including accommodation and meals are as follows:
-Double room type: US$ 70 per person per day
-Single room type: US$ 100 per person per day
-Doping Fee: US$50 of delegation member, athlete or official.
-A minimum stay of 3 (three) days is required for all participants.
