High School, Collegiate Committees Named

USA Weightlifting Tuesday named the members appointed to the Collegiate and High School Development Committees.

The committees are tasked with exploring partnerships to start weightlifting programs at the high school and collegiate levels. The committees will explore partnerships with the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA), National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and State Athletic Associations across the country.

“I am very excited for the future of our sport as we begin these new growth projects,” USA Weightlifting Director of Development Programs Suzy Sanchez said. “It is my hope that weightlifting sees more exposure at the high school and collegiate levels and I think that can be accomplished with the groups we have appointed to these committees”
