The 2018 Nike American Open Series 3 powered by Rogue Fitness lands in Las Vegas September 13-16, 2018 at the Westgate Resort.
The event is part of the American Open Series with competition opportunities for Youth, Senior and Master aged athletes. The Series allows both medals to be won at the single event and to compete for a Series Championship to be awarded at the Finals that December. The competition provides the final opportunity to qualify for the 2018 IWF World Championships & Olympic Qualification Event in Lima, Peru in November, 2018
“It’s high time we took an event to Las Vegas, one of the most popular events cities in the nation and the home of many national championships for our fellow Olympic National Governing Bodies,” USA Weightlifting CEO Phil Andrews said. “We look forward to a great competition under the bright lights of Vegas.”
Athletes will be able to stay and compete in the same building with all facilities under the same roof of the Westgate Resort, with rooms priced $89 during the week and $119 over the weekend.
Adjacent to the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino lies the exclusive, private Las Vegas Country Club. Resort guests have the opportunity to play on this historic, legendary golf course.
The Westgate Resort previously known as the Las Vegas Hilton (LVH) has more than a dozen restaurants and a fantastic buffet, which is open for Brunch on weekends and Dinner nightly. The hotel is conveniently located adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center which has easy access to the Las Vegas Monorail. The Monorail includes stops at the MGM Grand, Bally’s, Paris, Flamingo and Caesars Palace. The hours are 7am – 3am Fri – Sun. Tickets are $5 each or $28 for 3 days.

In 2017, Las Vegas will host the IWF World Championships Camp, powered by Rogue Fitness, at Average Broz’s Gymnasium in Las Vegas, located on Las Vegas Blvd. As many as 8 countries will train their team in the city ahead of the 2017 IWF World Championships in Anaheim, California this November 28-December 6, 2017.

Registration will open Jan 3, 2018.
