Inaugural Coach Mentoring Program

Today marks the start of the inaugural USA Weightlifting Coach Mentoring Program at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Led by Director of Coaching Education, Michael Conroy and US Olympic Training Center Resident Head Coach & 1972 Olympic Champion, Zygmunt Smalcerz. A select group of coaches has come together to share best practices and learn from not only National Coaching individuals but additionally from each other.

The participants are emerging coaches, all of whom coach one or more nationally ranked Junior or Youth athlete. The Mentor Program not only benefits their current athletes but also athletes they may recruit in the future.

The inaugural participants are:
