USA Weightlifting’s Board of Directors has promoted Phil Andrews to the role of Chief Executive Officer of USA Weightlifting. Andrews previously held the role of Director of Events & Programs, a position he has held since June 2013. Andrews has served as the Interim CEO since January 15, 2016.
“I am excited and privileged to be given the honor to lead USA Weightlifting as we work towards the coming Olympic Games in both Rio and the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. I truly appreciate the support of our Board, Membership and Staff, and hope I can repay the trust placed in me with this position,” said Andrews.

Weightlifting Board of Directors.
Andrews joined USA Weightlifting following a career in Great Britain including
periods with the University of East London, which notably hosted the High
Performance Training Center for the US Olympic Committee in 2012, and time with
David Lloyd Leisure, Unite Group PLC and Coventry Blaze Professional Ice Hockey
Team. Andrews resides in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
