Yesterday, on the final day of competition, Sarah Robles and Caine Wilkes competed for Team USA in the 75+ kg A and 105+ kg B sessions.

Wilkes made his third attempt 176 kg snatch after missing the same weight on his first and second, placing 19th in the category snatch  competition. In the clean and jerk, Wilkes opened with a successful 216 kg, made 220 on his second, then missed 226 on his final attempt, placing 18th in the category clean and jerk competition, placing 19th overall in total with 396 kg and scoring 7 points, in a 3 for 6 performance.

Robles made her her opening 118 kg snatch, followed with a successful 122 kg on her second, then missed 127 kg on her third attempt, placing 6th in the category snatch competition. In the clean and jerk, Robles made 152 kg and 157 kg on her first and second attempts, then missed the clean with an American Record 162 kg on her third attempt, placing 6th in the category clean and jerk competition. Robles placed 6th overall with a personal record 279 kg total, scoring 20 points, in a 4 for 6 performance.

On conclusion of the 75+ kg A session, Holley Mangold placed 25th in snatch, 21st in clean and jerk, and 23rd in total overall, scoring 3 points.

In the World Championships Event team competition, Team USA women placed 14th with 183 points, behind Venezuela with 193 points. Team USA men placed 28th with 96 points, behind Venezuela with 99 points.

Yesterday, on the seventh day of competition, Jenny Arthur lifted in the 75 kg A session and Holley Mangold in the 75+ kg C session.

Arthur opened with a successful 100 kg snatch, then made 103 kg and 106 kg on her second and third attempts, placing 10th in the category snatch competition. In the clean and jerk, Arthur made her first attempt 133 kg, followed with an American Record 138 kg on her second, then cleaned but missed the jerk with 140 kg on her third attempt, placing 7th in the category clean and jerk competition. 

Arthur totaled an American Record 244 kg, finishing 8th overall and scoring 18 points in total, in a 5 for 6 performance.

Mangold opened with a successful 100 kg snatch, made 105 kg on her second attempt,  then missed 108 kg on her third. In the clean and jerk, Mangold made her 140 kg first attempt, then cleaned but missed the jerk with 146 kg on her second and third attempts, totaling 245 kg, in a 3 for 6 performance.

Yesterday, on the sixth day of competition, Kendrick Farris and Jared Fleming competed for Team USA in the 94 kg B session.

Farris opened with as successful 158 kg snatch, made 162 kg on his second attempt, then made a personal record 165 kg on his third attempt, placing 18th overall in the category snatch competition. In the clean and jerk, Farris made his first attempt 198 kg, then missed 203 kg and 204 kg on his second and third attempts, totaling 363 kg to place 10th overall in the category, scoring 10 points.

Fleming made his opening 162 kg snatch, missed his second at 167 kg, then made the same weight on his third attempt, placing 14th in the category snatch competition. In the clean and jerk, Fleming opened with 192kg, missing the clean and incurring an injury recovering from the receiving position. He was then withdrawn from the competition.

On conclusion of the women’s 69 kg A session yesterday, Mattie Rogers  finished 17th in snatch and 14th in clean and jerk, placing 16th overall in the category and scoring 10 points.

Next on the platform today for Team USA, Jenny Arthur competes in the 75 kg A session, and Holley Mangold in the 75+ kg C session. Sarah Robles competes tomorrow in the 75+ kg A session and Caine Wilkes in the 105 + kg B session, on the final day of World Championships competition.

Yesterday, on the fifth day of competition, Mattie Rogers competed for Team USA in the women’s 69 kg B session.

Rogers opened with a successful 97 kg snatch, made 100 kg on her second attempt, then missed 102 kg on her third. In the clean and jerk, Rogers made her first attempt 120 kg, followed with a successful 123 kg on her second, then broke the Junior American Record clean and jerk with 126 kg on her third attempt. Rogers finished with 226 kg in total, in a 5 for 6 performance.

Category placement and scoring overall for Rogers awaits the conclusion of the women’s 69 kg A session today.

Next on the platform for Team USA today are Kendrick Farris and Jared Fleming in the 94 kg B session.

Yesterday, on the fifth day of competition, Team USA lifters were not entered in the category sessions contested.

On conclusion of the 77 kg category A session, Leo Hernandez finished 29th in the snatch and clean and jerk, placing 28th in total overall in the category, out of point scoring range. Travis Cooper placed 31st in snatch and 23rd in clean and jerk, finishing 26th in total overlain the category, also out of point scoring range.

Maddie Rogers lifts later today for Team USA in the 69 kg B session. 

Tomorrow morning, Kendrick Farris and Jared Fleming compete in the 94 kg B session.

Yesterday, on the fourth day of competition, Travis Cooper and Leo Hernandez competed for Team USA in the 77 kg C session.

Hernandes opened with a successful 142 kg snatch, made his second attempt 147 kg, then missed 150 kg on his third. In the clean and jerk, Hernandez made his first attempt 175 kg, followed with a successful 180 kg, then cleaned his third attempt but missed the jerk at 183 kg, totaling 327 kg overall in a 4 for 6 performance.

Cooper made his first snatch attempt at 143 kg, missed 146 kg on his second, then made the same weight on his third attempt. In the clean and jerk, Cooper opened with a successful 178 kg, made his 183 kg second attempt, then completed his third at 187 kg but was turned down on referee decision, totaling a personal record 329 kg overall in a 4 for 6 performance.

Category placement and scoring overall for Cooper and Hernandez await the conclusion of the 77 kg A session today.

On conclusion of the 58 kg body weight category A session yesterday, Jessica Lucero finished 17th in snatch and 21st in the clean and jerk,  placing 17th and scoring 9 points in total overall in the category.

On conclusion of the 69 kg body weight category A session, Alex Lee finished 21st in snatch and 11th clean and jerk, placing 13th in total and scoring 13 points in total overall in the category. CJ Cummings finished 32nd in snatch and 29th in clean and jerk, placing 31st in total, out of point scoring range.

Yesterday, on the third day of competition, CJ Cummings and Alex Lee competed for Team USA in the 69 kg C and B sessions.

Lifting in the C session, Cummings completed three successful snatches, opening with 123 kg followed by 128 kg, then finishing the series with 132 kg. in the clean and jerk, Cummings made 166 kg on his first attempt, then moved up a 174 kg Youth World Record on his second, cleaning the weight but missing the jerk. On his final attempt, Cummings missed the clean with the same weight, totaling 298 kg overall, in a 3 for 6 performance.

Lee followed in the B session, making his opening attempt snatch with 133 kg, then followed with two successful American Records at 137 kg and 140 kg, exceeding the long standing 135 kg of Scott Dibert set in 2001. In the clean and jerk, Lee opened with a successful 171 kg, moved up to an American Record 176 kg, missing the jerk, then made the same weight on his third attempt. Lee finished the competition with two American Record totals, 311 kg and 316 kg, breaking his own American Record 308 kg total set recently at the IWF Grand Prix in China.

Category placement and scoring overall for Cummings and Lee await the conclusion of the 69 kg A session today.

On conclusion of the 62 kg body weight category A session yesterday, Derrick Johnson totaled 34th in snatch, clean and jerk and total, out of point scoring range.

On the second day of competition, Derrick Johnson competed for Team USA in the 62 kg B session.

Johnson opened with a successful 120 kg snatch, then missed an American Record 124 kg on his second and third attempts. In the clean and jerk, Johnson missed 147 kg on his first and second attempts, then made the same weight on his final attempt, totaling 267 kg overall, in a 2 for 6 performance.

Category placement and scoring overall for Johnson awaits conclusion of the 62 kg category A session today.

On conclusion of the 48 kg body weight category A session, Morghan King finished 24th in the snatch, 24th in the clean and jerk, and 23rd placing 23rd and scoring 3 points in total overall in the category. Kathleen Winters placed 26th in the snatch, 33rd in the clean and jerk, and 28th in total, out of  total point scoring range.

Next on the platform tonight, CJ Cummings and Alex Lee lift for Team USA in the 69 kg B and C sessions.

A total of 609 weightlifters from 98 countries, 266 men and 343 women, will compete in the 2015 IWF World Championships/Olympic Qualification Event this year, the largest world championships in history. On conclusion of the competition, Olympic participation slots will be awarded to National Federations based on combined team placement and scoring of the top 6 men and 4 women from each federation at the  2014 and 2015 World Championships.

Yesterday, on the first day of competition, Team USA lifters Kathleen Winter and Morghan King lifted in the 48 kg C and B sessions.

Winters, lifting in the C session, opened with a successful 73 kg snatch, missed 75 kg then made the same weight on her third attempt. In the clean and jerk, Winters missed 87 kg on her first attempt, made the same weight on her second, the followed with a successful 90 kg third attempt, totaling a personal record 165 kg in a 4 for 6 performance.

King, lifting in the B session, missed her opening attempt 75 kg snatch, made the same weight on her second attempt, then missed 78kg on her third attempt. In the clean and jerk, King made her opening attempt 92 kg, followed with a a successful 95 kg, then missed her third at 98 kg, totaling 170kg in a 3 for 6 performance.

Category placement and scoring for Winters and King await the conclusion of the 48 kg A session today.
