Colorado Springs to Host World Team Trials

USA Weightlifting will hold a final trial session to determine the team for the 2013 International Weightlifting Federation World Championships in Wroclaw, Poland (October 16-23) at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. On August 23 & 24, 2013.

At the conclusion of the Pan American Junior Championship on August 4th, the Top 8 Men & Top 7 Women will be locked to the team, they along with the remainder of ranked athletes as at 4th August 2013 will be invited to take part in the World Team trials and a selection camp at the Olympic Training Center including those eliminated by two or more above them in the same weight class. Any athlete lifting above 90% of the Olympic & World Championship 5 year Bronze medal average will also be locked to the team.

Trials will be held under meet conditions at the Olympic Training Center.
