USA Weightlifting is pleased to announce that Jennifer S. Ullman has joined the USAW Board as a new Independent Director. Ullman is replacing Tommy Kono, who stepped down from the position in July of 2011.

Ms. Ullman has over 15 years of international sport, Olympic Games management, and governance experience at both domestic and international levels. Ullman’s sports experience includes serving as an IOC Voting Specialist for numerous Olympic Games, a resident host at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games, and a member of the USOC Media Staff at the 2003 Pan American Games.

Ullman earned her undergraduate degree at Purdue University and her master’s degree at the Monterey Institute of International Studies, a graduate school of Middlebury College. Ullman was previously a Director of International Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs at Verizon Communications and is now working as a Senior Telecom Industry Analyst at the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC).

USA Weightlifting would like to take this opportunity to welcome Jennifer S. Ullman to the USAW Board and express our excitement to have the opportunity to work with its newest Independent Director.
