Submit your best lifts on the weekend of May 15-17 in our exclusive, online competition for athletes qualified for the
2020 National Championships!

Requirements

 

Rules

  • Athlete MUST wear a singlet for weigh in and competition 

  • Athlete MUST outline a 4mx4m “platform” with tape 

  • Athlete must adhere to all IWF rules and regulations 

  • Athlete must display all equipment used following each attempt i.e. belt must be displayed and measured clearly, weights must be displayed clearly 

  • Athlete must maintain and hold the weight overhead to display control 

  • Athlete must display a clock, timer, or timestamp (timestamp camera app) in their weigh in, snatch and clean and jerk submission videos

  • Athletes may begin lifting anytime after weigh but may not exceed 4 hours following weigh in

  • Videos must be set at 400cm from the athletes start position or make best effort if that is not possible ensure the video shows the athlete from overhead lock out to floor

  • Camera must be placed directly in front of the athlete and raised directly in front of the athlete i.e. videos filmed from the ground will not be accepted

  • If you have a lock out issue before starting the lift show the judges your full extension pause then lift

  • Weights may be in KG or LB

  • Black pound plates must display weight markers in the video either at the beginning or end of the submission 

  • Weight must be submitted in kg to the lowest whole number for ex. 100.8kg will be recorded as 100kg

  • In the case of a tie the athlete that posted their video submission first will be awarded

Format
This event will be conducted 100% online. All videos must be filmed and submitted May 14-16, 2020

 

Submission:

Athletes will follow the steps below to participate 

  • BARS Registration: https://usaweightlifting.sport80.com/

  • Weigh in: Athletes will begin competition by weighing in. Athletes must weigh in wearing a singlet.  Athletes must be fully visible when stepping onto the scale and must show the weight displayed on the scale.

  • Snatch: Athletes may begin snatching anytime following the weigh in not to exceed 4 hours from weigh in. Athletes will submit 3 snatch attempts. Camera must be placed directly in front of the athlete. Full body must be visible.

  • Clean and jerk: Athletes may begin the clean and jerk anytime following the snatch in not to exceed 4 hours from weigh in. Athletes will submit 3 clean and jerk attempts. Camera must be placed directly in front of the athlete. Full body must be visible.

  • Each video submission should display the weights and barbell clearly to verify weight submission.

  • Video file name should be listed as follows: Athlete Name_Lift_Weight class_Gender _ Division.Upload top snatch, top clean and jerk and body weight.


Judgement:

  • 6 referee votes will be required (3 refs/3 “jury”)

  • Athletes will receive an email confirmation when their submission is approved within 24 hours of submission.
