March 2023 update: In an effort to continue this program and assist with grassroots efforts USA Weightlifting is shifting administration of the BIPOC and women's scholarship programs to our Weightlifting State Organizations (WSOs). Each WSO has the opportunity to offer up to four scholarships per program. WSOs have until April 1, 2023, to determine their commitments, and updates on availability will be posted to this page.

USAW Women in Weightlifting Coaching Scholarship

USA Weightlifting offers a limited number of tuition scholarships to qualified female coaches to attend the Level 1 Coach Certification course. The scholarship covers the tuition cost of the certification as well as one year of USAW membership. Any travel-related or non-tuition expenses are not covered. Please click here if you would like to make a contribution to the USAW Women in Coaching Scholarship fund.

We ask that applicants with the means to attend and self fund leave the open spots for those without the means to do so.

The number of available awards by WSO/region will be posted once USA Weightlifting receives commitments from each WSO.
