March 2023 update: In an effort to continue this program and assist with grassroots efforts USA Weightlifting is shifting administration of the BIPOC and women's scholarship programs to our Weightlifting State Organizations (WSOs). Each WSO has the opportunity to offer up to four scholarships per program. WSOs have until April 1, 2023, to determine their commitments, and updates on availability will be posted to this page.

USAW Coach Education BIPOC Community Scholarship Program

USA Weightlifting offers a limited number of tuition scholarships to qualified BIPOC coaches to attend either the Level 1 or Level 2 Coach Certification courses. The scholarship covers the tuition cost of the certifications as well as one year of USAW membership. Any travel-related or non-tuition expenses are not covered. Please click here if you would like to make a contribution to the USAW Coach Education BIPOC Community Scholarship Fund.
