USA Water Ski & Wake Sports and its nine sport discipline organizations are pleased to announce respective award recipients for 2022. Teri Jones (Orlando, Fla.) has been selected USA Water Ski & Wake Sports’ 2022 Female Athlete of the Year; Noah Kinnaman (Lake St. Louis, Mo.) has been selected USA Water Ski & Wake Sports’ 2022 Male Athlete of the Year; and the Arizona State University water ski team has earned USA Water Ski & Wake Sports’ 2022 Team of the Year honors.

USA-WSWS Wins 2022 NGB DE&I Award From USOPC
USA Water Ski & Wake Sports Oct. 28, 2022
USA Water Ski & Wake Sports is pleased to announce it is the recipient of a 2022 NGB DE&I Choice Award from the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee. USA Water & Wake Sports’ submission of the DE&I initiative – “Get on the Water Learn to Ski” – received the most votes among National Governing Body representatives for the under-$10 million annual revenue category. The award, which recognizes excellence in diversity, equity and inclusion, was presented at the TEAMS ’22 Conference, Oct. 24-27, in Oklahoma City, Okla. In addition to an award, the program will receive a $5,000 grant from the USOPC to help support the initiative.

Capping off Women’s History Month, USA Water Ski & Wake Sports is proud to acknowledge the accomplishments of its past and present female water ski athletes. In honor of Women’s History Month and the centennial celebration of water skiing in 2022, here are five female athletes who have had an enormous impact on the sport of water skiing and USA Water Ski & Wake Sports over the past 100 years. These five, along with dozens more, will be among the 100 Greatest of 100 Years to be featured in a special issue of The Water Skier magazine later this summer.
