Club Directors & Officers Insurance Program Renewed

USA Water Ski & Wake Sports is pleased to announce the renewal of the USA Water Ski & Wake Sports Club Directors & Officers Insurance Program. This optional program provides USA Water Ski & Wake Sports affiliated clubs with access to Directors & Officers Liability and Employment Practice Liability insurance to protect against claims arising out of the mismanagement of club operations. All USA Water Ski & Wake Sports clubs should consider enrolling in this vital program.

Dates, Location Set For Syndicate Waterskis Collegiate Nationals

The National Collegiate Water Ski Association has announced that the new dates and location for the currently postponed 2020 Syndicate Waterskis Collegiate Water Ski National Championships will be May 13-15, 2021 at Laku Landing in Windsor, Colo.

Foundation Awards More Than $25,000 In Scholarships

The USA Water Ski & Wake Sports Foundation is pleased to announce the awarding of more than $25,000 in scholarships this year to 15 young people from different towed water sports disciplines. The USA Water Ski & Wake Sports Foundation’s scholarships are awarded each year to individuals who show leadership abilities and demonstrate how their involvement in the sport has helped them grow both personally and academically.

Syndicate Waterskis Collegiate Nationals Postponed Until Spring 2021

The National Collegiate Water Ski Association’s board of directors announced on Tuesday that the 42nd Syndicate Waterskis Collegiate Water Ski National Championships, originally scheduled for October 2020, has been postponed until a date to be determined in spring 2021. The decision was made due to the number of schools that cannot participate in the fall season because of COVID-19 restrictions.

Collegiate Contest - Who Can Ski The Most?

The American Water Ski Association is hosting a contest for National Collegiate Water Ski Association teams that attend AWSA events this summer. The top-three collegiate teams that have the most skiers participate in AWSA events from now until the end of August will win a cash prize.

Return To Play Guidelines Announced

As our communities begin to re-open and get back to some sense of normalcy, USA Water Ski & Wake Sports has been working diligently with the USOPC and our sport discipline organizations to create “return to play” guidelines for our sport. First and foremost, the health and safety of our members is our top priority. These return to play guidelines are meant to provide athletes, coaches and event organizers with best practices and recommendations regarding return to safe water ski activity.

NCWSA Announces 2020 Hall Of Fame Inductees

The National Collegiate Water Ski Association, one of nine sport discipline organizations of USA Water Ski & Wake Sports, has announced that Jimmy Siemers, Ed and Carole Walker, and Phil Chase will be the 2020 inductees into the NCWSA Hall of Fame. That was one of several announcements following the NCWSA’s annual mid-winter board of directors meeting on Jan. 24 in Auburndale, Fla.

Belarus Awarded 2022 FISU Championships

The Championships Department at the International University Sports Federation (FISU) has announced that the FISU Executive Committee has attributed the 2022 FISU World University Water Ski & Wakeboard Championships to the city of Minsk, Belarus. The event is officially rewarded to the Belarus Republican Center of Physical Education and Sports for Pupils and Students, the governing body of university sports in that country. However, it will be hosted by an organizing committee that includes the NUSF, the City of Minsk and the Belarus Waterski & Wakeboard Federation, with support of the IWWF World University Commission.
