New (Free) Jump Program Released

Video Tape Measure is a Windows 10 program that was approved by the International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation to measure jump distances. It accepts either standard definition or high definition video streams and employs the same concepts as Bob Corson’s Video Jump and Splasheye, so current jump grids can use this new program without any modification to the site.

Foundation Awards More Than $25,000 In Scholarships

The USA Water Ski & Wake Sports Foundation is pleased to announce the awarding of more than $25,000 in scholarships this year to 15 young people from different towed water sports disciplines. The USA Water Ski & Wake Sports Foundation’s scholarships are awarded each year to individuals who show leadership abilities and demonstrate how their involvement in the sport has helped them grow both personally and academically.

Hall of Fame Inductions Postponed Until 2021

2020 Adaptive Nationals Postponed

USA Adaptive Water Ski & Wake Sports has decided to postpone the 26th Barbara Bolding/Jim Grew Fund Adaptive Water Ski National Championships and team trials that were scheduled for September 2020. The decision made by the board of directors was not easy; but, as an organization, it decided it was best to put the health and safety of the athletes as its priority.

Return To Play Guidelines Announced

As our communities begin to re-open and get back to some sense of normalcy, USA Water Ski & Wake Sports has been working diligently with the USOPC and our sport discipline organizations to create “return to play” guidelines for our sport. First and foremost, the health and safety of our members is our top priority. These return to play guidelines are meant to provide athletes, coaches and event organizers with best practices and recommendations regarding return to safe water ski activity.

U.S. Athlete Poggetto Receives IWWF Honors

The International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation’s Disabled Council has announced that U.S. athlete Connor Poggetto (Carmichael, Calif.) and France’s Delphine Le Sausse have been selected the 2019 IWWF Disabled Male Athlete of the Year and 2019 IWWF Disabled Female Athlete of the Year, respectively. Poggetto and Le Sausse are now eligible, along with the Athletes of the Year from the other IWWF councils, for consideration as overall IWWF Athletes of the Year.
