The San Marcos River Ranch will host the Gordon Hall Celebration Weekend, May 22-23, in Martindale, Texas. The Class C tournament will honor Hall, a longtime member of USA Water Ski & Wake Sports who died in an aviation accident in March 2020.

The tournament is sanctioned with online registration. The $30 entry fee includes one-round three-event tournament on Saturday and Sunday; event T-shirt; river celebration on Saturday night; food and beverages; and live music (Southern Angels – Caroline and Cullen Parker’s band). Hall was a multi-time national champion tricks skier, renowned water ski site developer, tournament organizer, and board member for the American Water Ski Association, National Collegiate Water Ski Association and USA Water Ski & Wake Sports. In addition to being co-founder of the University of Texas water ski team in 1976, Hall was an AWSA three-event Senior Judge, Senior Scorer, Pan American Judge and a State Safety Director. He was serving as chairman of the board for the American Water Ski Association and as treasurer of USA Water Ski & Wake Sports at the time of his death.
