You Can Help Anderson, U.S. Men Win USOC Award

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Oct. 3, 2018) – Matt Anderson and the U.S. Men’s National Team are finalists for the Team USA Awards presented by Dow, Best of September, which recognize the outstanding achievements of Team USA athletes from last month.

Fans are invited to vote for their favorite athletes and teams at Awards.TeamUSA.org through midnight Monday, Oct. 8.

The U.S. Men finished third at the FIVB World Championship in September with a 10-2 record, winning their first World Championship medal in 24 years.

Micah Christenson was named Best Setter and Matt Anderson was named Best Opposite.

Anderson finished the tournament as the second-leading scorer (behind the tournament MVP, Bartosz Kurek of Poland) with 163 points on 138 kills, nine blocks and 16 aces.

Anderson was also the second-leading attacker of the tournament with a success percentage of 56.56. Anderson was fourth in aces with an average of .36 per set.
