Sitting Athletes to Give California Clinic

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 25, 2018) – Six members of the U.S. National Sitting Volleyball Teams will participate in the Challenge Athletes Foundation/Wave Sitting Volleyball Clinic on Saturday in Del Mar, Calif.

The U.S. players participating will be Whitney Dosty, Katie Holloway, Bethany Zummo, Dan Regan, Travis Ricks and Patrick Young. Holloway, Zummo and Regan all competed at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro where the U.S. Women’s Sitting Team won the gold medal.

Team members will scrimmage athletes and coaches from the Wave Volleyball Club and then put on a sitting volleyball clinic for members of the public.

Participants will get to meet and get photos with Paralympians and their gold medals and play sitting volleyball with some of the best athletes in the world.

The event is free and will take place Saturday, Jan. 27 from 1-3 p.m. PT at the Wave South Gym, 15555 Jimmy Durante Blvd. in Del Mar.

Participants should wear long shorts or pants and bring knee pads.
