COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (March 9, 2017) – USA Volleyball (USAV) has signed an agreement with VolleyMetrics for the video analysis company to become the national governing body’s “Official Video, Breakdown and Analytics Partner of USA Volleyball” through Dec. 31, 2020.

“USA Volleyball is extremely pleased to enter into this agreement with VolleyMetrics,” USA Volleyball Secretary General Kerry Klostermann said. “The services and expertise they offer to benefit our beach, indoor and sitting National Teams in their quest for sustained competitive excellence is extraordinary. More importantly, we will work together to bring this technology to all of our club events and tremendously impact the entire USA Volleyball membership.”

“We are excited to work with USA Volleyball to achieve our mutual dream of improving the sport of volleyball for teams and players at every level,” VolleyMetrics CEO Giuseppe Vinci said. “By studying the game further and applying what we learn together, we hope to broaden the impact that the sport of volleyball has on coaches, players, referees, parents, fans, and beyond.”

While providing services and support to USA Volleyball national teams, VolleyMetrics will provide its services at all USA Volleyball National Championships and other club events. VolleyMetrics will also collaborate with USAV Coaching Education Program (CAP) for research and development.

“VolleyMetrics was born to eliminate the resources needed to go through the now hundreds of hours of video available thanks to technology,” Vinci said. “We believe that more information improves the level of the game, of practice, and of the sport overall. It can be overwhelming to make sense of all the data and turn them into actionable insights. VolleyMetrics leaves that in the hands of the coaches and other users, who can make more informed decisions based on them.”
