Men's Update: USAV Cup Part II

ANAHEIM, Calif. (May 10, 2016) – The U.S. Men’s National Team will play its second USAV Cup match against Japan on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. PT at the Walter Pyramid at Long Beach State.

Japan won the first USAV Cup match on Friday, 25-23, 25-20, 19-25, 25-20 against a younger, inexperienced U.S. squad.Matt Anderson

The team that plays in Wednesday’s match will be more experienced, including opposite Matt Anderson, libero Erik Shoji and outside hitter Reid Priddy.

RUSSELL FINISHED IN ITALY

Outside hitter Aaron Russell and Sir Safety Conad Perugia lost in the league finals to DHL Modena, 3-0. In the final match on May 8, Modena won, 23-25, 25-20, 17-25, 25-16, 15-13. Russell scored 18 points on 17 kills and one block. He was credited with 18 receptions, 33 percent positive.
