COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (June 29, 2015) – USA Volleyball has announced the 12 players who will compete on the U.S. Pan American Men’s Volleyball Team at the Pan American Games on July 17-26 in Toronto, Canada.
U.S. Men’s Head Coach John Speraw and his staff have selected four outside hitters, three middle blockers, two setters, two opposites, one setter and one libero to compete in the Pan American Games.
“We are really excited about the group of players that were selected to represent USA Volleyball at the Pan Am Games,” said Charlie Sullivan, who will serve as head coach for the U.S. team. “The team is working hard to compete at its best level and take on other national teams from the region. We are very excited to get to Toronto.”
Outside hitter AJ Nally (Rochester, N.Y.) will serve as team captain. The other outside hitters on the roster are Cody Caldwell (Newport Beach, Calif.), Brian Cook (Santa Cruz, Calif.) and TJ DeFalco (Huntington Beach, Calif.).
The setters on the roster are Jonah Seif (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) and Matt West (Seattle, Wash.). Michael Brinkley (Huntington Beach, Calif.) is the libero.
The U.S. Pan American Men’s Volleyball Team is subject to approval by the United States Olympic Committee.
