Dalhausser, Gibb Receive FIVB Kudos

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 7, 2014) – Players, coaches, referees and officials who participate on the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour have voted Phil Dalhausser the Most Outstanding Player of 2013 while Jake Gibb was named Most Inspirational.

Dalhausser (Ormond Beach, Fla.), who was also named Most Outstanding in 2010, and new partner Sean Rosenthal (Redondo Beach, Calif.) won the FIVB Fuxhou Open in China and the Grand Slams in Rome and Long Beach, Calif. They finished second at the Sao Paulo Grand Slam.

Gibb (Bountiful, Utah) also had a successful FIVB season in a first-year partnership. Gibb and Casey Patterson (Van Nuys, Calif.) won the Shanghai Grand Slam, finished second at the Corrientes Grand Slam and the World Cup Final and took third at the Gstaad Grand Slam.

Gibb was named the USA Volleyball Male Beach Athlete of the Year and Gibb and Patterson were named the USAV Beach Team of the Year.
