John Kessel is now in his third decade of writing and working for USA Volleyball. This Growing the Game Together blog (CLICK above or HERE) was started in 2008 and has over 100 topics, based on the latest research, for parents, coaches, players and club directors, including the popular series on STOP Teaching  ___________ (Passing, Free Balls, Serving, Spiking, etc), the Evolution of __________ (nets, pepper, etc.) and specific topics like “What can a Player Control, and over 130 more. John’s current title is Director of Sport Development, and he also serves on the NORCECA Technical, Coaches and Development Commission, and on the WOVD (World Organization of Volleyball for the Disabled) as Director of Development.  His son Cody is currently playing for Princeton’s volleyball team, while his daughter McKenzie is playing volleyball for Bowdoin.
