Dan Mickle

Dan Mickle's playing and coaching career spans over twenty years at the professional, college, high school, junior and beach levels. Dan was a US Open Beach National Champion as a player in 2000. He competed on the Toyota Pro Beach Tour for eight years and the AVP/AVP Next Tour for four years. His indoor playing career includes two years with Harrisburg Area Community College and sixteen years on USAV adult teams. Dan was a member of the 2014 silver medal team and 2015 bronze medal sitting teams at USAV Open Adult Nationals. 

In 2008, Dan was a USAV Robert Lindsay Award recipient, and in 2009 he was a gold medalist at the State Games of America. Dan was inducted into the inaugural Harrisburg Area Community College Hall of Fame as a player and as a coach in 2013. His teams have over 100 wins in both high school and college. 

Dan holds a master's degree in Sports Psychology and a bachelor's degree in Sports Management and Coaching from California University of Pennsylvania and is pursuing his PhD in Motor Learning and Performance Psychology. He is currently an assistant coach with the York College women's team. Dan also assists the Keystone Penn Blast PVL team that captured the bronze medal at the 2014 and 2015 PVL Championships. He coaches multiple AVP teams, and is a lead coach and evaluator for the USA Volleyball Beach program as well as a court coach with USAV's indoor High Performance. Dan is CAP III and Beach CAP II certified. He is currently the head indoor coach of York College of Pennsylvania.

Dan resides in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Teri, daughters Morgan and Lily, and son, JD.
