What Coaches are Saying about CAP

"A must for all volleyball coaches with a thirst for knowledge and excellence."

"The best effect of the course is the feeling that I have been given a lot of ideas to mull over to form my own personal conclusions about how I want to coach."

"CAP is all-encompassing. Practice plan design and teaching different skills related to the sport is only half of the story. CAP II brought it full circle for value and did a deep dive into athlete psyche, evolving your philosophy, and realizing there is no one-size-fits-all to being successful. Perspective is such a vital part to my growth as a coach. It's encouraging to know that what I am doing is correct, but there are always ways to be better."

  • The teaching cadre is stellar, including Eric Hodgson, who started the Arizona Region's High Performance Program. He's both the coaching director and outreach director for the region. Longtime IMPACT instructor and cadre member Doug Blystone has designed several CAP modules, including "Conflict Resolution Strategies" and "effects of Positivity and Accountability on Team Dynamics." Hodgson and Shoemaker are joined by Linda Gomez and Andy Pai, veteran coaches who have worked together on the Wounded Warrior sitting program.
