Job Description
The Coordinator, Events is a regular full-time position reporting to the Director, Events. The successful candidate will be an experienced professional tasked with supporting all aspects of department operations to include but not limited to: team registration, event logistics and execution, and budget management. This position requires excellent organization, communication, planning and coordination. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload, and make recommendations for changes in office processes, programs and practices. This position answers non-routine correspondence exercising the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of constituencies. Additional hours may be required to include nights, weekends and holidays. The position is located in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Requirements

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
include but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Serve as lead in coordination and execution of assigned events to include budgeting, event logistics, team registration and support, and event execution.
  • Handle direct inquiries and/or requests which can be addressed without Director involvement.
  • Process all incoming event-related revenues, and file and process event registrations.
  • Produce reports, presentations, spread sheets and special projects, and assist with preparing, packing, distributing or shipping all materials as required by the events department staff.
  • Administer independent contractor agreements for assigned events.
  • Record and verify registrations in event database and work with volleyball regions and teams concerning their registrations/data.
  • Ensure timely posting of qualifier results on the website.
  • Post event-related information on website as needed.
  • Provide in-office support for event department staff.
  • Assist in overall conduct of the USA Volleyball domestic events.
  • Assist in calculating VIK numbers/amounts for all championship events.
  • Point of contact for ordering and management of signs and printed materials.
  • Primary department contact on awards RFP and negotiations, award design and concept, ordering, disbursement and inventory.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, business or sport administration or related degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum three years of relative experience.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Must be a self-starter with initiative and focus on details
  • Must be able to successfully pass a USAV background screening (prior to hire date)
  • Must successfully complete SafeSport Certification within two weeks of hire date

Minimum Starting Salary
$38,500 - Commensurate with experience

Job Description
The Performance Analyst, Beach National Teams (BNT) is a regular full-time position reporting to the Director of Coaching, Beach National Teams (BNT). This position provides and coordinates essential performance analysis activities, projects and support for the BNT. General duties include but are not limited to: analysis of match/practice data, creation of scouting reports, attendance at select BNT practices, monitoring of athlete tracking/performance data, coordination of BNT scouting program and onsite data analysis at select international competitions. This position tracks and assembles confidential player and performance information. Extended hours may be required to include nights, weekends and holidays. Extensive travel is required for this position. The position is located in Torrance, Calif..

Requirements

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
include but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Conduct an in-depth analysis of the world’s top performing beach teams (both genders) leading up to and at major international competitions including the World Championships and the Olympic Games and
  • present data and findings to Director of Coaching and BNT Athletes and Coaches as directed by the Director of Coaching.
  • Create, distribute and review scouting analytics with BNT Athletes and Coaches under the supervision of the Director of Coaching.
  • Run post-match/practice data analysis to increase the efficacy and objective nature of BNT debriefs with a view toward enhancing performance.
  • Evaluate the success of training protocols through the use of objective data analysis.
  • Provide onsite scouting/data analysis at select FIVB competitions and at the Olympic Games as assigned.
  • Create BNT athlete “gold medal” performance standards to evaluate BNT athletes and for talent identification purposes.
  • Attend select BNT practices to capture and analyze data to be used as the basis for and the development of training protocols.
  • Contribute to and enhance USAV’s current Beach Coaching Accreditation (BCAP) curriculum and help develop new modules through the use of data driven studies and analysis.
  • Develop and oversee the BNT scouting program.
  • Capture, analyze and distribute footage of opposing teams to BNT athletes and coaches.
  • Develop objective studies that improve the value/quality of BNT reports and chalk talks.
  • Manage, collect, and distribute as necessary, all BNT athlete tracking data (i.e. Trajectory of Performance , Win %, World Ranking, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the BNT Athletic Performance Coach and ATC in collecting, organizing and analyzing training data.
  • Manage the USAV Adult Beach Ranking and enter tournament results as needed.

Qualifications
  • Four-year college degree in statistics, mathematics, related degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum four (4) years of scouting, data analysis experience or related field.
  • Possess strong organizational and communications skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing demands.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Proficient in scouting or statistical software.
  • Proficient with datasets and dataset analyzation.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a USAV background screening (prior to hire date).
  • Must successfully complete SafeSport Certification within two weeks of hire date.
Preferred Qualification
  • Experience working with the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC) or a National Governing Body (NGB) is a plus.
  • Experience with volleyball and/or beach volleyball is a plus.
  • Experience with DataVolley and Volleymetrics.

The Assistant, Region Services is a regular full-time position reporting to the Senior Manager, Region Services. This position assists the Region Services support team and regions in all areas associated with membership.The Assistant, Region Services will provide customer service to internal and external customers by assisting with the USAV member management system, acting as a region liaison, compiling current membership lists and testing data systems. This position assists in coordinating all aspects of event planning, management and customer service of USAV International events. Additional duties include filing, organization, distributing information, packing and shipping, and working on special projects. Organizational skills are required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload.   • Produce correspondence, proposals and reports as assigned
  • Process vendor invoices payments and ensure payments are within budget parameters
  • Assist with ordering of event related equipment and promotional item

  • Provide customer service to USA Volleyball members, Regional Volleyball Associations of USAV in relation to the international events by answering emails and phone calls to support the events

The Manager, High Performance (HP) manages all aspects of the Beach High Performance Programs to include but not limited to: tryouts, athlete depth charts, program planning and implementation, national teams, budget oversight and events execution. The position will include event oversight, data compilation and analysis, athlete evaluation and program staffing. Manage HP national teams and coordinate all aspects of staff and team selection, training, travel, and FIVB and NORCECA competition. This position requires excellent organization, communication, planning and coordination. The Manager, Beach High Performance for U13–U23 (age group) athletes is a regular full-time position reporting directly to the Director, High Performance. Additional hours may be required to include nights, weekends and holidays. The position is located in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Requirements

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
include but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Manage all aspects of the Beach High Performance Programs, including tryouts, summer and holiday training programs, coaches and year-round depth chart management
  • Serve as lead staff in the logistics and coordination of assigned High Performance events, national teams and programs
  • Create and maintain event registrations in HP online system(s)
  • Provide technical and conceptual recommendations for system and process improvements
  • Provide detailed data analysis and reporting to the department for planning and budgeting including participation, program expenses, program income, gear and apparel
  • Coordinate logistics throughout the year, including packing, shipping, organize, inventory, receive and ship equipment to and from HP programs
  • Responsible for program and event management to include scheduling, planning, on-site support, staffing, budget and execution
  • Oversee assigned budgets including tracking, reporting and accountability for annual performance
  • Serve as primary point of communication for athlete, coach and family inquiries for assigned programs
  • Responsible for oversight of assigned tryouts/assessments, and programs to include selection of independent contractors and insuring contractual obligations are met
