Job Description

The Coordinator, Coaching Education reports directly to the Manager, Coaching Education. This position is responsible for assisting with scheduling, coordinating, posting, course administration/certification duties for both onsite and online IMPACT and Coaching Accreditation Program courses, and other duties as requested. Additional hours may be required to include nights, weekends and holidays. The position is located in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Requirements

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Creates course registration pages and monitors registration numbers in Webpoint
  • Assists with maintenance of the Education course calendar and information pages on the USA Volleyball website
  • Assists in reviewing and updating curriculum and course presentations
  • Assists manager with departmental budget responsibilities
  • Completes course financial breakdowns
  • Assigns revenue coding to income payments received (checks and credit cards)
  • Maintains CAP course-related web pages, online course registration pages, CAP course schedule page and assists in testing for new processes within the registration process
  • Maintains and implements online registration and email responses for registration, testing, and follow up certification
  • Updates database for coaching certifications and recertifications
  • Processes pre- and post-course student paperwork
  • Processes invoices, refunds, and itemized financial reports for Coaching Accreditation Program (CAP) courses
  • Assists department staff with on-site course logistics before, during and after CAP events
  • Coordinates IMPACT program (foundational level of coaches’ education), including, but not limited to communication with Regions, IMPACT instructors, coaches and updating material as needed
  • Creates post-course surveys, compiles data, and shares with host and department
  • Creates and sends eblasts and Facebook ads for courses
  • Assists in community volleyball education programs, including coaching clinics with local YMCAs and sitting volleyball experiences at the Olympic Training Center
  • Organizes and maintains VIK inventory 
  • Coordinates packing and shipping of course materials  
  • Monitors department emails, help desk tickets, and phone calls
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, administration, related degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum two years’ experience in education field
  • Strong organizational and customer services skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Products to include Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Experience performing data entry, running reports, tracking activities using on-line database systems
  • Must be able to successfully pass a USAV background screening (prior to hire date)
  • Must successfully complete SafeSport Certification within two weeks of hire date

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with budgeting processes and or basic accounting
  • Volleyball related experience as an administrator or coach 
  • USA Volleyball education certification 
  • National Governing Body (NGB) experience is preferred but not required
  • Video production experience 
  • Writing and editing experience

Minimum Starting Salary

$16.30/hour – Commensurate with experience.

Requirements

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities included but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Develop, create and publish strategic content to build engagement around USA Volleyball activities including grassroots, coaching education, High Performance, events, national teams, etc.
  • Lead and coordinate USA Volleyball’s social media efforts, including managing and publishing content on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, etc.
  • Track and analyze social media trends and statistics
  • Engage with members, fans, and sponsors in constant dialogue maintaining a professional and consistent voice in representation of the USA Volleyball brand
  • Facilitate timely and responsive action for USA Volleyball across social platforms based on trending content, live events and potential crises
  • Develop and execute content strategy in integrated digital media efforts including social media

  • Organize and draft content for monthly newsletters.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in digital communications, marketing, related field or equivalent work experience
  • Three years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with use of social media for organization/brand
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to successfully pass a USAV background screening
  • Must successfully complete SafeSport certification within two-weeks of hire date

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, with an emphasis on Illustrator, Photoshop and Premier

  • Draft, develop and execute strategic marketing campaigns for events and programs with varying needs and concurrent timelines

The Manager, High Performance (HP) manages all aspects of the Beach High Performance Programs to include but not limited to: tryouts, athlete depth charts, program planning and implementation, national teams, budget oversight and events execution. The position will include event oversight, data compilation and analysis, athlete evaluation and program staffing. Manage HP national teams and coordinate all aspects of staff and team selection, training, travel, and FIVB and NORCECA competition. This position requires excellent organization, communication, planning and coordination. The Manager, Beach High Performance for U13–U23 (age group) athletes is a regular full-time position reporting directly to the Director, High Performance. Requirements

Job Description
The Assistant Coach, Women’s National Sitting Team (WNST) is a regular full-time position reporting to the Women’s Sitting Team Head Coach/Program Director. This position is responsible for assisting the head coach with all aspects of the women’s sitting program to include, management of specific program matters, logistics, athlete selection and training, program development, athlete housing and video assessment. This position is located in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:
  • Assist with recruiting, evaluating and selecting athletes into the Women’s National Team program and pipeline
  • Prepare and manage the WNST budget in collaboration with head coach
  • Assist with coordinating all WNST competitions and camps
  • Assist with elite player selection and development with Manger, Sitting Teams Programs and A2 coaches
  • Collaborate with external providers to include but not limited to S&C, ATC, chiropractors and other fitness instructions and ensure contractual obligations are met
  • Assist the head coach with development training plan and training of resident and no resident female athletes and oversee daily resident practices
  • Coordinate the use of resident housing with the HP Siting Program Director including moving dates
  • Support personal and media appearance requirements

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required - sports administration, coaching, physiology, exercise science, education or related field
  • Minimum three (3) years coaching at the elite junior, collegiate, national or international level; or the equivalent in competition and sport management
  • Previous work with Paralympic programs desirable
  • Proven ability to promote sport performance
  • Experience using DataVolley software is desirable

Job Description
The Coordinator, Officials Development is a regular full-time position reporting to the Director, Officials Development. The role contributes to all aspects of Officials Development programming and is primarily responsible for providing administrative and logistical support. Additional hours may be required to include nights, weekends and holidays, especially during the event season. The position is located in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Organize and support all officials’ training and educational programs including indoor, beach and sitting.
  • Manage officials’ registrations for the four national championships and High Performance Championships.
    • Select and secure officials for National championship – ensure all credentials are met.
    • Develop national event pre-tournament materials.
  • Audit and update records in USAV’s Member Management System for national certification requirements and national clinic attendees and candidates for Officials Development sites.
  • Responsible for the distribution and payment of contracts for coaches, mentors, trainers and clinicians for sitting, beach and indoor.
  • Secure OCRP (housing for officials at national events).
  • Research travel costs and submit Travel Authorizations, as needed.
  • Allocate VIK for officials at national events; and for coaches, mentors, trainers and clinicians.
  • Responsible for coordination of official’s event logistics to include pricing, packing and shipping supplies to clinics, camps and national events.
  • Assist the Head Coaches, Mentors and Trainers with logistics, materials and record keeping at development sites for sitting, beach and indoor.
  • Collaborate with communications and E-Learning staff all printed and electronic materials for all official’s training, educational, exams and development materials for beach, sitting, and indoor programs.
  • Contribute to content and assist with the publication of the Officials Newsletter.
  • Work with arbitrators and other constituents to update and maintain officials case books.
  • Support Officials Assembly and Commissions as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in sport management, business administration, related degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum three years of relevant work experience.
  • Volleyball and/or officiating experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, Adobe Suite, Dartfish and social media programs.
  • Experience with videography, video editing, and web streaming is a plus.
  • Possess excellent written, verbal and organizational skills with an attention to detail.
  • Must be able to comfortably lift 30 pounds.
