2018 Bertha H. Lucas All-Time Great Coach - Pioneer Division

After playing at UC Santa Barbara, Jeff became an assistant coach at Cal Berkeley from 1978 to 1983, resulting in three national top 10 rankings.

That propelled Mozzochi into the head coach position of the Portland State University women’s program from 1984 to 1992. He led the Vikings to four NCAA Division II national championships and one USAV national championship during this period. Mozzochi, a two-time National Coach of the Year, coached three AVCA National Players of the Year and 21 All-Americans.

He moved on to become the Oregon State University head coach from 1993 to 1998 and compiled the second most wins in program history. The Beavers had four years in the top 25 national ranking and earned three postseason invitations.

Mozzochi returned to Portland State from 2001 to 2009, leading the Vikings to three conference titles and two runner-up finishes. He stepped down to become Portland State’s associate athletic director from 2010 to 2014.

Before taking on his commissioner's role with the Columbia Empire Region, Mozzochi was the technical director and head coach for Oregon Junior Volleyball Academy.
