Sharon Byun

About Sharon: I am an obstetrician-gynecologist at the University of Florida.  I consider my job to be my "work triathlon" - delivering babies, operating and seeing patients in the office.  I competed in my first triathlon in 2012 at age 43 as a way to cross-train.  Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would be an Age-Group All-American and be representing the United States at the ITU World Championships five years later!  My goal as a USA Triathlon Ambassador is to inspire others, to promote health and wellness among Masters age-groupers, and to show that women can be fit and fast after age 40.
