Nancy Lyon-Stadler

About Nancy: I am a mom (2 boys), a civil engineer (at WSP) and an athlete. My life is busy but I wouldn't change it - it's more accurate to say my life is full and triathlon feeds my soul. I competed in my first race in Seoul in the Olympic venue; I was stationed there as an Air Force officer. It was epic and I was hooked! I have been training and racing ever since. I love the sport and the triathlon community!

Sport Discipline: Triathlon, Aquathlon, Aquabike

Most memorable moment in your multisport career: My son, Ben, competed in the Open Age Group race with me at ITU Chicago as a 16 year old. His wave was immediately before mine (random and awesome!) so we saw each other throughout the race and my younger son, Drew, who knows how to be at all the strategic places on the course, cheered for us. It was epic! That was the race that hooked Ben. He now competes on the Virginia Tech Triathlon team and we have such a blast training and racing together!
